Queen of Ice Polymer Clay Dragon Pendant

She flies silently in clear icy skies over the blanketed forest. This was the moments she loved most. The peaceful white was her domain. Frost sparkled in the bright sun and the snow fell steadily as she soaked in the beauty of her kingdom.

Handmade out of polymer clay, this beauty was inspired by the shortening days and the dropping temperatures. Every blue scale is an individually placed ball of clay and her icy features carefully sculpted using a needle point tool. After firing, I used black acrylic paint to "antique" her, bringing out her scales and cold features. Finally I coat her with a few layers of glaze to bring out the mica powders in the clay to make her really shine! She is roughly two inches long and comes on a gray suede leather cord wrapped around her icicle horn.
